Today, May 10, is the birthday of hip-hop pioneer Craig Mack! Some argue that because he was overshadowed by his Bad Boy Records labelmate the Notorious B.I.G., that Craig Mack was one that the most underrated rappers in the game.

Craig Mack was one of Bad Boy's earliest signees. After signing in 1993, the Queens MC dropped his debut album Project: Funk Da World in 1994 to critical acclaim. Mack's biggest hit off his debut was undoubtedly "Flava In Ya Ear" whose remix featured a breakout verse from Biggie Smalls. Mack stayed on Bad Boy from 1993 to 1997 but then soon turned his life to religion. Like Ma$e, Shyne and Reverend Run, Mack became heavily involved in his faith and it was reported in 2012 that he had become a member of a South Carolina religious cult run by a famous radio preached and was living in a compound. Whatever make you happy, makes us happy, Craig!

In light of the highly-anticipated Bad Boy Reunion concert this month, Diddy has gone on radio to say he's actively "looking for" Craig Mack for the occasion, but so far, hasn't been able to find him.

Happy Birthday, Craig Mack!
