“Hustlers don’t fold, hustlers don’t break and hustlers don’t bend,” says Fatboy SSE. “Hustlers keep going no matter how tough it gets.” Always up for a challenge, the 26-year-old social media comedian-turned-rapper is determined to prove that his latest hustle is nothing to play with. Less than a year after dropping his debut project, Boobie From the Block, the New Jersey native circles back with Tyriq, further showing that he’s serious about his craft. Here, Fatboy SSE displays his hunger for more in XXL’s What I Do freestyle series.

After questioning the loyalty of others, Fatboy SSE raps, “You gotta pay a toll because life ain’t free/I’m on the road to riches because I stay tryna eat/And I’m going to get my mom out the hood and take her to that beach/Because I ain’t hear her heartbeat/Yeah, it’s type low/Because she’s stressing every month tryna get the bills low/And every time I hug her I count it as a blessing/You only get one mother, so take it as a lesson.”

“I named my project Tyriq, because it’s the real me,” admits Fatboy. “I’m growing as a man and I wanted to give people the real me.” Laced with 16 tracks, the project features the songs “Afterparty” and “Drake,” as well as collaborations with Lil Tjay, Asian Da Brat, Flipp Dinero, Don Q and Uncle Murda. Although the entertainer’s latest project is only a few months old, he is already on to the next one. The A Fat Kid Loves Cake artist, who has a couple of movies in the works, promises to unleash fresh singles with the likes of Juicy J, Calboy and 2019 XXL Freshman Roddy Ricch very soon.
