fat_joe.jpgFat Joe is preparing to release his eight LP, The Elephant in the Room, on EMI’s Imperial Records imprint in early 2008. After splitting with Atlantic Records in 2006, Joe inked a distribution deal for his last project, Me, Myself & I, with Capitol/EMI that same year. The album spawned the smash single “Make It Rain” which featured Lil Wayne and marked the label’s first Top 10 hit in over 40 years. The strip club anthem was also recently certified platinum in the RIAA’s Digital Ringtone program. "Working with Imperial is one of the greatest moves I ever made in my life!” Fat Joe said in a statement. “I never made as much money in my career as I have since I went independent. The Elephant in the Room is guaranteed to be a classic! Believe dat!” The Elephant In The Room will feature guest appearances from P. Diddy, Rick Ross and Fabolous and is expected to include production from Cool & Dre, DJ Khaled and The Runners. No release date has been set, but the new project is due in early 2008.
