For the most part, Fabolous has played the sideline in the whole Kendrick Lamar "Control" verse incident, choosing not to waste bars on the situation. But many people speculated the Brooklyn rapper had put himself in the game with the track, "The Get Back" off his Christmas Day release, S.O.U.L. Tape 3, in which he references the situation as well as Trinidad Jame$' recent comments. Loso recently chopped it up with FuseTV at Madison Square Garden and talked about some of the details of the mixtape series. He also broke down three of the project's songs including "The Get Back."

“It plays reference to what was going on with the whole Kendrick “Control” verse thing,” said Fab revealing the song was more of an allusion to the situation overall than a shot fired at K. Dot. “The Get Back" is taken from, once you say something you have to live and die by your words. But then now it becomes on other people to get back. It’s almost the revenge of what you’re saying. Do you relish in it? Do you back away from it? Do you step up to the plate?”

He continued, “It plays on both sides, really, 'bout what you’re saying and having to be mindful of what you’re saying. I just wanted to shed some light on that whole situation, because I’m sure at first hear people are going to think it’s a Kendrick Lamar diss.”
