This summer, Ewing Athletics will pay tribute to EPMD's debut album, Strictly Business, with the release of a limited edition sneaker themed after the classic project. Taking cues from the album's artwork, the pair of sneakers celebrates the early accomplishments of group members, Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith.

Dressed in a black suede upper, the shoes feature yellow, orange, light blue and neon green accents. Embroidered with Patrick Ewing’s signature on the outer side panel, the sneakers include EPMD’s signature logo on the tongue of each shoe. To round out the look of the upcoming pair, the shoes sit atop of a multi-color midsole and outsole that matches the rest of the upper.

EPMD’s Strictly Business was released on June 7, 1988. Recorded for the most part in West Babylon, New York, the album peaked at No. 80 on the Billboard 200 chart after its release. Earning a gold plaque in album sales shortly after its debut, the project is regarded today as one of the most influential projects to ever be released in the genre of hip-hop.

As of now, no word yet on when Ewing Athletics and EPMD's collab sneaker will release, but according to the brand the shoes will be limited with more details on the release to drop soon.
