Listen to Chuck Inglish’s New Project ‘Texturizer’
Chuck Inglish is back with a new tape of instrumentals for your vibin' pleasure. The Michigan born producer unleashed a 7-track mixtape called Texturizer on Soudcloud yesterday (Oct. 3). With a colorful, '80s era cover with a nod to a jheri curl rocking Ice Cube form back in the day, it's obvious to mood of the mixtape is of the nostalgic nuance. the tracks glide between one another with minimal vocals except for what seems to be audio from old jheri curl advertisements.
Chuck Inglish made his fan based very happy earlier this year when he announced that The Cool Kids have officially reunited. The Illinois duo made up of Inglish and Sir Michael are best known for their slew of underground tapes and their 2011 album When Fish Ride Bicycles under Green Label Sound. Since 2012, the duo have been on a hiatus working on solo work. A few weeks ago, Chuck Inglish made the reunion officially in a series of tweets.
“The hiatus is over,” Chuck Inglish explained. “We missed being us. We refuse to let people down and not be the actual group. We been through too much. So prepare for things to go back to they were supposed to be. The Cool Kids together is what is right in the world. It’s on.”
Wasting no time, the guys shared their first comeback track "Running Man" featuring Maxo Kream in September.
