The life and music of Tupac Shakur continue to have on-going impact. The Tupac inspired musical Holler If Ya Hear Me premiers later this month. The musical stars Saul Williams and is directed by Kenny Leon. The presentation is not a biographical account of the West Coast legend, but an original tale about “friendship, family, revenge, change and hope” as poverty stricken, inner-city residents struggle in the game of life. HIYHM will feature several songs originally written and performed by the late rap star including, “Me Against the World,” “Keep Ya Head Up,” “California Love,” and, of course, "Holla If Ya Hear Me" just to name a few. The musical version of the two latter songs have been made available for streaming. Holler If Ya Hear Me will officially premier June 19.
