Chance the Rapper was a guest on Pharrell's Beats 1 radio show OTHERtone recently and it appears the two talked about more than Chance's newfound status as a father. While a clip from the conversation was released late last week, Chance encouraged fans to stay tuned to the broadcast on Sunday (Feb. 7), saying that there was a "big announcement coming."

That announcement would end up bing that Chance is joining Drake, Pharrell, DJ Khaled and others with his own Beats 1 radio show, tweeting, "Thank You #OTHERtone for helping me announce my new @Beats1 show wideCHI." There were no other details provided, though based on the show's title, there is likely to be some sort of emphasis on Chicago and/or its music.

The news of the radio show comes early on in a year that should provide new music from Chance. His Acid Rap mixtape will turn three this April, and Chance has teased new music from the presumed follow-up project. In the previously released clip from Chance's OTHERtone appearance, the rapper had commented on the birth of his newborn daughter saying, "I didn’t know love until I had my daughter. I didn’t know it’s bounds. Not to be corny, but you can love somebody through anything when they’re your child. Now that I understand that, it makes me work better with people. It makes me more understanding of how much dedication and love I can put into each line. There’s no throw away lines."
