Cassidy Thinks There Should Be a Bigger Market for Lyricists
Veteran rapper Cassidy recently sat down for a conversation with Vlad TV, and when asked to give his candid thoughts on Lil Yachty's new album cover, he didn't seem too happy that it was even brought up. If you recall, the "I'm A Hustler" MC took shots at Lil Boat and Lil Uzi Vert during his set at the Ruff Ryders reunion concert two weeks (April 21 ago).
During the interview, Cass sported a bit of a mean mug when asked about the cover, dismissing the topic for the most part. "Niggas can continue to make album covers and music that I don't choose to listen to. It's like who am I? I'm just Cass. But at the end of the day, it should be a market for the music that got bars, that's creative. There's a fan base for that," he explains.
The Philly native also says that it's "the same split" between kids liking "weird shit" and ones liking "hard shit" today as there was back when he was a kid.
