BJ the Chicago Kid's full-length debut album, In My Mind, is set to drop on Feb. 19, but can be previewed today courtesy of NPR who have provided a first listen stream. The Chi-town crooner has been teasing the album out through single in recent months, offering up "The Resume" with Big K.R.I.T. and "Church" featuring Buddy and Chance the Rapper, but with the album stream comes one of the more highly anticipated guest spots, that of Kendrick Lamar on "The New Cupid."

The track is a slow walk down lovers lane, as BJ and Kendrick mourn the evolution of love and pursuit as superficial and fleeting concepts. On the hook, BJ sings, "Cupid’s too busy in the club/At the bar, rolling up/And if you see him let me know/Love is gone, a no show." Kendrick meanwhile, deploys the imagery typical to his verses, rapping, "I’m looking for you, I’m checking for her/I’m parking lot pimping, I’m honking at women, I’m all on the curb."

In an interview with XXL in August, BJ the Chicago Kid said of In My Mind, "It’s a pretty incredible project. I can only say so much until you hear it without overselling it, but if you love what I do, you would love this project." The album is available for preorder through iTunes now, and is up over at NPR for any and all to stream. Listen to "The New Cupid" below, as BJ and Kendrick add to their history of collaborative efforts.
