Besides schooling MCs on the rapping circuit, Big Sean also had a thing for education. In a battle to keep attendance up for public schools in Detroit, a new campaign called “On Time. All Day. Every Day”  was created to help prevent kids from missing school. In the contest, one lucky school was awarded the opportunity to have Big Sean serve as their principal for a day. That lucky school was the Bates Academy, according to Clickondetroit.

“The correlation between success in life and daily attendance in school is inarguable,” said Big Sean. “As a former DPS student, I could not be more proud of the district for taking the issue of attendance seriously."

The Bates Academy competed against 37 other schools for the opportunity to have Sean roam through their halls and regulate the rules his own way for the day.

Today marked Sean's first and last day as the principal of Bates Academy earlier today, when he worked from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Those were some pretty hefty hours for Principal Sean Don.
