This week's SXSW festival in Austin promises to be, as always, one of the year's premier grounds for discovering new music and seeing old acts play for intimate crowds. With their annual Woodie Awards, MTV has packed a star-studded roster into the usually ramped annual fesitivities. The awards show itself, officially put on by subsidiary mtvU, will feature a lineup that includes Big Sean, Fall Out Boy, Years & Years and James Bay. But this is no ordinary awards show--the event will be preceded by the MTV Woodies Festival, an "all-day music celebration" that will boast a litany of acts all its own. From the hip-hop world, the Woodie fest will see Action Bronson, Rae Sremmurd, Ty Dolla $ign and newcomer Raury all take the stage. The festival will be held Friday (March 20) at 305 South Congress Ave in Austin. The young men of Rae Sremmurd will also serve as presenters at the awards show that follows.

It will be the beginning of a big month for Bronson, whose major label debut, Mr. Wonderful, comes out March 23. The album has been preceded by the 40-produced "Actin' Crazy," "Terry," the Chance The Rapper-featuring "Baby Blue" and, last year, "Easy Rider." Rae Sremmurd's debut album, SremmLife, proved to be a goldmine of singles, featuring "No Flex Zone," "No Type," "Unlock the Swag," "Lit Like Bic" and the Nicki Minaj- and Young Thug-featuring "Throw Sum Mo."
