A Boogie is kickstarting the kind of career that will take him far from his hometown of the Bronx, and for the video for "Baecation," he takes a special someone to a tropical locale, even though, as the song explains, they "aren't really dating." The song, produced by D Stacks, is off A Boogie's TBA EP which dropped late last month. Watch the video, directed by Gerard Victor, above.

Speaking with XXL in September, A Boogie said that "Baecation" would be his next video and sure enough, it arrives just a few months later. Boogie, whose real name is Artist, says that his music makes a clear distinction between his real self and rapping self. "Artist is the side where I put my love songs," he says. "A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, [that's] my rapping flows and shit." He as well notes that his music was noticeably different after he started making heartbreak songs.

Above though, all is intact, with Boogie and his boo waking up together, hitting the picturesque beaches. TBA follows Boogie's Artist as the young rapper's formal introduction and he's already finding formidable allies in the game, Fabolous remixing his
"My Shit" in July, and Drake inviting him to open one of his Madison Square Garden Summer Sixteen tour dates in August. Boogie performed some of his Artist hits such as “Friend Zone," later telling XXL that he and Drizzy plan to work together as well. “Yeah, we talking ’bout working on something,”he said. “That’s coming in real soon.”
