With his album Bothic due this year, Detroit rapper ZelooperZ drops off the video for his single "ISBD (I Should Be Dead)." The RUFFMERCY-directed video is a visual overload and features the Bruiser Brigade Records signee rapping front of a wall as wild animation is superimposed on his figure and across the screen. The trippy clip is a glimpse of what to expect from his upcoming album.

"I've been wanting to work with RUFFMERCY for a while so when I finally got the chance and he wasn't busy with other work it was just pure, we both big fans of each other's art and he's also a fan of my music so he knows what's going on in my head," ZelooperZ told Complex. "That's why the art is so radical. Filming it was tight, just another day, got hella zooted and shot the whole video in time to send it to the homie. At the end I was drenched in sweat and high like I liked to be at the end of the night. Felt like RUFF been checking out like latest abstract art as well, one of my favorite videos thus far."

ZelooperZ's artistic vision stems from his own skills as a painter and love of art. In XXL's "The Break" section, he told us that painting is his first passion.  “I am an artist first. That’s what I do. I love art. I’ve been painting since I was a kid. Music is kind of my second love. I started drawing as a kid like [in] elementary school. When I got into high school, I started painting. I mostly do everything like art. I got into music by just growing up in a household with all different types of music playing, it kind of stuck with you. We used to freestyle in the kitchen [and during] dinnertime. It was like a musical household and I always liked rhyming.”

Bothic release show is on Feb. 19 at Loving Touch in Detroit. Tickets for the release party in can be copped here.
