Last Night (June 30) was the XXL Freshmen 2015 Live Show at Best Buy Theater in Times Square New York. The show, which featured the new XXL Freshman Class, was the place to be. The sold out concert was packed as fans from all over the Tri-state area made their way to Best Buy. The night did start off with some few hiccups. Raury couldn't make the show, OG Maco was too ill to perform, GoldLink was unable to come because he was stuck in Denver, after losing his ID, and seconds before walking into the venue, Kidd Kidd was arrested for allegedly assaulting and strangling a woman in a domestic dispute. To say it was madness behind stage was an understatement. But as cliche as it sounds, the show must go on. The host for the event was Power 105.1's own DJ Suss One.

First up was Shy Glizzy who ignited the crowd by performing hits off his breakout mixtape Law 3 that dropped late last year. "Funeral," "Thank You" and "Awesome" got the crowd on their feet and ready to rage. He even brought his puppy onstage for a second before Best Buy security kick the dog out.

Next up was K Camp who had the place lit as he performed hits like "Money Baby," "Lil Bit" and "Cut Her Off." The crowd sung each verse word for word; it was a sight to see. After the Slum King was Tink who showed off her versatility. She slowed the crowd down with her amazing voice by singing "Treat Me Like Somebody," but got the crowd hype with her rapping skills by performing her single "Ratchet Commandments."

Next up was Def Jam golden child Vince Staples, who's fresh off releasing his debut album Summertime 06'. His set included new single "Señorita," "Blue Suede," and "Get Paid." Just as concertgoers were losing their mind, DeJ Loaf came out and brought the building down. The crowd screamed every lyric to her songs like "Post To Be (Remix)," "We Be On It," "U Me & Hennessy" and her breakout single "Try me."

What started off as a low note turned into a great surprise as G-Unit made a special guest appearance. The Unit voiced their displeasure about NYPD targeting Kidd Kidd on the day he scheduled to perform. 50 promised he would get his protégé out of jail—while taking shots at Sha Money—and apologized to the crowd on Kidd Kidd's behalf. It was amazing to see Buck, Yayo, Fif and Banks all on stage together. Fif called Shy Glizzy on the stage to say that he respects what he does as an artist. G-Unit then rattled through news hits off their last two projects The Beauty of Independence (2014) and The Beast Is G-Unit (2015). They also played Kidd Kidd's new single "Ejected," which featured Lil Wayne, in honor of the 2015 XXL Freshman.
