mic-lord.jpgShawn "Mic Lord" Austin, a popular morning show DJ on Hampton Roads, VA station 103 Jamz, died early Thursday morning at the age of 38. The Virginian Pilot reports that station manager Eric Mychaels was informed by Austin's family of his passing as a result of natural causes at the Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton. Austin, a New Jersey native, joined the Boodah Brothers morning show in 2004 and came to be known for his Top 10 Lists and sports commentary. “We're just devastated beyond belief,” said Pavar Snipe, one of Austin's co-hosts. The station played a tribute to Austin on Thursday and are planning an additional on-air tribute in the future.
