Rumors were swirling yesterday on Twitter that Trinidad James inked a $2 million deal with Def Jam Records. After much speculation, Billboard confirms exclusively that the Atlanta rapper has chose to sign with Def Jam.

The label’s president, Joie Manda, says that James represents what’s going on in hip-hop today. He is excited to have a young talent like him join the evergrowing Def Jam roster. Read what they had to say below.
