Timbaland Says Aaliyah Told Him Tink Is ‘The One’ in a Dream
Timbaland's new artist Tink got a major co-sign from a celestial source, according to the Virginia super producer. Last night, during The Fader Fort at SXSW, Tim revealed the late RnB singer Aaliyah spoke to him and told him the Chicago MC is official. Following a performance of Aaliyah's "One In A Million," by Tink, which is rare, the beat maker told the crowd about the instance. “I don’t touch any of my sister’s records. I don’t touch Baby Girl’s records—you know that’s Aaliyah,” Timbaland said after Tink performed the song. “I was riding home one day, sleep. She spoke to me in my sleep and said, ‘She’s the one,’" he added pointing at Tink.
Timbo signed Tink to his label Mosley Music Group in 2014. Since then she has been busy putting together he debut and dropping loose tracks such as “Room 302″ with Future Brown, “Tell The Children,” “Around The Clock” and her version of “Movin’ Bass.”
Earlier this month, she dropped her latest single, "Ratchet Commandments" produced by Timbo.
