Top Dawg Entertainment and New Era link up. Today (Oct. 15), the headwear brand and the Los Angeles record label announced their new New Era x TDE Los Angeles Lakers collection, which includes two New Era 9FIFTY Low Profile Lakers caps with TDE’s redesigned logo on the front and the Lakers' team patch on the side.

The new hats come in two colorways, including Lakers Purple/Cream and Yellow/Black. Beginning next Monday (Oct. 22), the caps will be on sale at, New Era LA Live store,, Staples Center (where the Lakers play) and TDE's pop-up shops. They go for $45 each.

This announcement comes in the midst of TDE's epic 2018, which has seen the collective produce the soundtrack for Marvel Studios' Black Panther and embark upon their Championship Tour. Powered by the incomparable Kendrick Lamar, as well as ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and SZA, TDE has been doing some big, big things in 2018. This impending drop is just the latest sign of their reign atop the world of music.

With the 2018-2019 NBA regular season starting tomorrow, it will be interesting to see if any of the Lakers sport the new caps at some point in the future. Maybe LeBron will rock one. We'll have to wait and see.
