Tay-K Calls Out His Management and Label, Apologizes for the Way He’s Presented Himself

After signs of miscommunication with his team a few months back, Tay-K has called out his management and label via Twitter while also offering an apology to fans on his own behalf.

On Saturday (Nov. 23), the incarcerated rapper posted a tweet thread where he opened up to his followers about what he's been dealing with concerning his team and how he says he is being portrayed inaccurately.

"I wanna apologize to all my fans and supporters for letting my management and label convince me that it wouldn’t be a good decision to speak out against the way the media makes me look and the complete lies they spread," he started. "But I’m gonna make sure the truth about my life and my character gets out with or without management or a label. And whoever don’t like it fuck you."

Tay-K went on to say he thinks his silence in the media has opened the door unwanted scrutiny.

"The way the media inaccurately portrays me has affected my life directly," he added. "So instead of waiting on my 'team' to get the bright idea to speak up on my behalf, things will be done differently. Of course I’m not perfect or nothing, but I’m most definitely not this monster that they try to portray me as. with that being said, I also apologize for the way I may have presented myself, I was young and inconsiderate."

This isn't the first time there has been signs of issues between Tay-K and his team. Back in September, a tweet went out from the rapper's Twitter account asking for fans to send him money while he is locked up.

"SEND TAY LETTERS AND BOOKS. PUT MONEY ON HIS BOOKS WHILE HE’S IN SAN ANTONIO #RR4L Taymor Mcintyre #1085731 Bexar County Adult Detention Center 200 N Comal St San Antonio, TX, 78207," the message read.

Tay-K later denied he initiated the request.

"Idk why tf that was tweeted on my twitter i don’t need money do y’all need some money?" he tweeted. "My fans can write me tho."

In July, Tay-K, born Taymor Travon McIntyre, was found guilty of murder in connection with the 2016 shooting death of 21-year-old Ethan Walker who was shot a killed during a robbery at his Mansfield, Texas home. The rapper was sentenced to 55 years in prison, which he is appealing.

Tay-K, who infamously released the brazen song "The Race" while on the lam for the crime, still has more legal issues to deal with. He is also charged with the April 2017 murder of 23-year-old Mark Saldivar. Authorities believe Tay-K shot and killed Saldivar in a Chic-Fil-A parking lot following a robbery attempt. Tay-K has also been charged with assaulting an elderly man at Cravens Park in Arlington, Texas in May 2017.
