Ski Mask The Slump God and Twista Battle to See Who Can Rap Faster
For years, Chicago's own Twista has been thought to be the world's fastest rapper. That's probably still the case, but another tongue-twisting phenom, the one and only Ski Mask The Slump God, has stepped forth to stake his claim for the title. Recently, the two had an inventive 88 Rising-facilitated showdown to decide which of them is the fastest rapper, and it was pretty epic.
For the contest, Ski and Twista were edited into a Street Fighter-esque video game as each of them take turns seeing how fast the other can spit. The set-up includes health bars and the outlandish fireball-throwing techniques the Street Fighter characters use in the video game. 88 Rising clearly went all out. Ski Mask, who appeared in Keith Ape's Cole Bennett-directed video for "Achoo!" just the other day, goes first in the back-and-forth. We'll let you see the outcome for yourself.
In other Ski Mask news, the rapper recently announced a brand new project with a beloved producer. While he's yet to officially name the producer, he posted a few clips teasing some collabs with Timbaland, a music industry vet Ski called his favorite producer this past spring. Is Timbo that "beloved" producer? We'll have to wait and see, but Ski's got a new tape dropping in the next few weeks.
For now, check out Ski and Twista's speed-rapping competition below.
