After building up a significant buzz, Rico Nasty has officially signed a deal with Atlantic Records. Yesterday (June 7), both the Maryland-bred rapper and the record label confirmed the news of Nasty's signing in social media posts dedicated to her major new feat.

Nasty posted a photo to both Twitter and Instagram of her holding her 2-year-old son, Cam, in front of the Atlantic Records' logo in their offices. In her Instagram post, she writes that her and her son are "very happy" and sends her thanks to her whole team.

"Oh and this happened . Me and cam are very happy," she writes. "I signed to @atlanticrecords. "Thankful for my ENTIRE team. Thankful for all my fans ❤️ only up from here guys."

The "Blue" entertainer gets a bit more emotional on Twitter, as she writes about dealing with haters and doubters over the years after she had her son at a young age.

"I signed to @AtlanticRecords ! Fuck what they gone say about u," she writes. "I had my son at 18 they tried to say i wouldn’t be shit lmao suck my dick bitch."

Along with the news of her signing, fans are hyped up as they anticipate her sixth mixtape, Nasty, which is slated to arrive next week on June 12. The project comes after a year of building her brand, which soared after Rico released her Sugar Trap mixtape. The project featured standout cuts "Hey Arnold," "iCarly" and "Choppa in the Trunk," and made waves around D.C. and beyond, putting her firmly on the rap map.
