Onyx is back to remind the world of their status as pioneers of East Coast rap's hardcore scene. Recently, they reaffirmed that status with their new visual for "Black Rock," the titular track from their brand-new album.

The new Vicente Cordero-directed visual finds Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz working a seemingly rock-leaning crowd as the sound of their raucous new tune soundtracks the scene. In between shots of their performance, we see clips of the two standing in front of a retro, animated dark-red background as they spit the lyrics from their track. Fredro says he and Sticky took influence from a clique they were associated with at the outset of their career.

“We came in with Run-DMC and Onyx are the new kings of rock” Fredro says of the inspiration for the album. “The inspiration for Black Rock came from the song (title track) we did for the revolutionary Judgment Night Soundtrack. It’s Hip-Hop meets Rock and Roll, boom bap and guitars; but what people don’t expect to hear from us is what makes this album so dope.”
