Kobe Bryant’s career will come to an end after this year’s NBA season. With the global impact the Los Angeles superstar has made in his 20 years of playing, several teams, personal and brands have paid tribute to the superstar player in different ways. Today, Nike unveils a brand new Kobe silhouette that centers around his legacy and cultural impact in China.

Unveiled back in December of 2015, the Nike Kobe Icon will debut on Jan. 15, 2016. The latest iteration to leak online of the Nike Zoom Kobe Icon is the “China” version. Dressed in a university red with hits of black and gold throughout the shoe, the sneaker features a zip-up shroud on the mesh upper and the outsole of the Kobe 6 silhouette.

With a gold colorway of the Nike Kobe Icon set to debut in the days to come, look for Nike to unveil a release date for the "China" iteration very soon. Set to retail for suggested price of $170, this will sneaker will become available at select Nike retailers around the globe and at Nike.com.
