Kobe Bryant may have retired from the NBA a few years ago, but his Nike kicks and brand are still alive and well. Today, the Swoosh presents the latest set of kicks from basketball’s Black Mamba.

Releasing as a colorful pack that is being dubbed as the “Mamba Mentality,” Kobe and Nike’s newest collection pays tribute to the physical and psychological elements of basketball. With focus on the psychology of color, Nike creates a five-shoe series of all new low-top Kobe A.D. iterations. Launching in red, purple, yellow, grey and blue, the colors reflect the different moods of Kobe Bryant.

With each silhouette dressed entirely in one specific color, the shoes feature a multilayer upper that provides a lightweight, ultra-thin feel, but still supportive. Including Nike's Lunarlon technology, the midsole foam combines with the Zoom Air unit for a better cushioning system.

The five Nike Kobe A.D. colorways connecting to color psychology will be available globally starting Thurs., Aug. 24, as a nod to both of Bryant’s uniform numbers.
