Rappers have joined the ranks of Americans protesting the current state of politics in the United States, and today (Sept. 4), Bronx rapper Mysonne was removed from a court room while voicing his opposition to President Trump's pick for the Supreme Court—Brett Kavanaugh.

It's unclear if Mysonne was arrested for protesting the hearing in Washington, D.C. or was simply removed from the courtroom, but he definitely appears to be speaking his mind. In a video showing the rapper being forced out of the room, he yells, "He is a threat to this democracy!" in reference to Kavanaugh.

Mysonne joins scores of protestors in D.C. in opposition of Kavanaugh, who is a largely controversial figure in U.S. politics. Today marks the first day of hearings for Kavanaugh, who is expected to undergo rigorous questioning from Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee who believe that the Trump-endorsed politician hasn't been thoroughly vetted. Should his nomination be confirmed, he will be appointed as the ninth Supreme Court justice—an appointment for the rest of his life.

This isn't the first time Mysonne has run into problems with police for his political activism. He was arrested back in February while protesting President Trump's attempted repeal of the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program.

Mysonne has been making a name for himself as a conscious artist for some time now. Last year, he dropped a hard-hitting freestyle on Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex radio show that went viral, and highlighted systematic racism and the broken ideals of street life. He knows a little something the criminal justice system—at the height of his career, after being signed to the Violator Records imprint through Def Jam, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for two armed robberies in 1999, and came home in 2006.

Since then, he's frequently spoken out about issues plaguing the hip-hop community—and evidently, issues in the Supreme Court. Watch video of Mysonne being removed from a courtroom below.
