After a successful and productive 2016, Mozzy isn't ready to put his feet up just yet. The Sacramento spitter drops the new video for his 2016 song "I'ma Gangsta" featuring Bobby Luv (Jan. 2). In the bare bones visual, Mozzy lights one and flows over a somber, sentimental piano beat about the aspects of his past he's still working to come to terms with.

"Momma used to choke-slam us just for talkin' back/Gangsta rap died with 'Pac, Mozzy brought it back/Nose bleeding, I tooted the purest powder back/Pullin' out the stove with some woods and pack of Sour Patch," rhymes Mozzy.

A snippet of "I'ma Gangsta" first popped up on Mozzy's Instagram last week and fans are already loving the fresh material.

The motivating rhymer made his presence known last year by sharing a consistent stream of projects and scooping up co-signs. In December, he and Trae Tha Truth joined forces to release the collaborative album Tapped In.

XXL caught up with Lil' Tim for The Come-Up last October to recap catching the music bug as a teenage, his time in jail and his insane work ethic.

"I was broke. I was 25 and broke, trippin’, fuckin’, living everywhere," said Mozzy when talking about coining his new stage moniker. "I was living with a bitch when we’re on good terms. When shit gets funky with her, I was back at grams’ house, spending the night at the homie’s house. I had a daughter. I was drug abusive, when I say that I mean lean, powder, pills, all that. I was just in the struggle. You can hear it in my 2012 music. I was hurtin’. I was trying to find my way. I wasn’t a person that was used to not just having money. Since I was a kid I was always able to generate some type of federal funding. If it was out a bitch or out of hustlin’, around this time I was in a breaking point."

Cop "I'ma Gangsta" on iTunes now and keep an ear out for Mozzy more this year.
