After leaving Hot 97, DJ Mister Cee announces his new home Radio 103.9. Serving at Hot 97 for the past 20 years, he gave his resignation on Friday, Nov. 21, parting ways with with the radio station after over two decades of service.

"I AM EXCITED, HUMBLED, & BLESSED TO BE BACK ON THE RADIO WITH THE NEW RADIO 103.9 IN NEW YORK. TO BE A PART OF A NEW GROWING STATION GIVES ME A FRESH START IN MY RADIO CAREER," Cee says of the transition in an exclusive statement to XXL. "SPECIAL THANKS TO KEN JOHNSON & RAPHAEL GEORGE FOR GIVING ME THIS OPPORTUNITY. ALSO A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ANDREW VERAS AKA DOMINICAN DREW FOR PUSHING FOR ME TO BE A PART OF THE RADIO 103.9 FAMILY, I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET IT."

A few weeks back, XXL spoke to Mister Cee about leaving Hot 97 and he unveiled that it has actually been on his mind for the last 5 years. "First of all, let me say—and you need to put this in all capitals—I WILL FOREVER LOVE HOT 97," he said. "As far as my decision, this has been on my mind for five years now, that eventually I was going to leave the station. Nothing negative, nothing happened. I was never asked to leave. But mentally and spiritually it’s been on my mind for five years to leave the station. The only thing that kind of kept me going through the last five years of staying is my brother Funkmaster Flex. The one that always, when I would have problems with the station, he would be like, "Let’s ride this out. Let’s continue and keep doing this."
