Although Mac Miller is no longer with us, he will be represented at the 2019 Grammy Awards, which is an event where Miller's Swimming LP is nominated for Best Rap Album.

According to TMZ, the late rapper’s parents Karen Meyers and Mark McCormick are reportedly planning to attend the Grammy Awards next month.

Sources close to Mac’s family have told the outlet that they will accept the Grammy trophy on his behalf if he does win in the Best Rap Album category. This nomination marks the first time Miller has been up for an award at the typically star-studded awards show.

Other rappers nominated in the same category are Pusha T for Daytona, Nipsey Hussle for Victory Lap, Cardi B for Invasion of Privacy and Travis Scott for Astroworld.

Since Mac’s passing last September, his mother has been keeping her son’s memory alive through the Mac Miller Circles Fund.

So far, the foundation has raised over $700,000 from donations. About half of the monies came from the Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life concert. The other half came directly from the fans via the fund's official website.

All proceeds will go to Mac Miller's charity, which provides funds to various arts and education programs for underprivileged youth in the rapper's hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa. "[We want to help] them recognize their full potential through exploration in the arts and community building," said charity organizers.

The 2019 Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
