Logic Tells the Story of a Suicidal Teen in “1-800-273-8255″ Video
Logic is well known for releasing extremely creative content, and his new set of visuals reflect that. The Maryland native releases the music video for his powerful "1-800-273-8255" record, which features Alessia Cara and Khalid off of his recent Everybody album.
The visuals tell the story of a male teenager who is contemplating suicide and follow him throughout his day as he goes through the trials and tribulations that have a negative effect on his mental health. Logic seems to take an approach to the video that is reflective of the plot of Moonlight, with the teen going through the motions of identifying his sexuality.
Fans of the television show, Modern Family, may be particularly excited, as there is a cameo from Nolan Gould in the video, who plays Luke Dunphy on the popular series. Don Cheadle is also featured in the visual.
If you recall, "1-800-273-8255" has become a highly impactful track for Logic's fans, with reports saying that the Suicide Prevention Hotline has gotten an influx of calls since the release of the song on the rapper's project. There was a reported total of 4,573 calls on the day of the song's release, which was recorded as a 27% increase than the usual amount on the average day.
