Lil Wayne Arrested in Idaho on Outstanding Warrant

Lil Wayne was arrested in Boise, Idaho on Friday night (October 5) following a performance at the Qwest Arena. According to the Associated Press, Weezy was picked up on an outstanding felony warrant from Georgia related to a drug possession charge. The rapper was booked into the Ada County jail and initially denied bail. According to a jail deputy who did not want her name released, dozens of angry fans flooded the jail with phone calles inquiring about the arrest. "Every other phone call that we've picked up have been about him,” the deputy told the AP. “people who have tickets wanting to know where his concert will be, people calling to see if it's true that he's incarcerated.” Website TMZ.com later reported that Wayne had been released Saturday (October 6) on a $10,000 bond. He is due to be formally charged on Tuesday, and at that time may opt to waive extradition to Georgia.
