In a matter of months, Kreayshawn has gone from a relative unknown to one of the most buzzed about young hip-hop artists. Since breaking out with her single "Gucci Gucci" in mid May, the Bay Area rapper has signed a lucrative deal with Columbia Records, been co-signed by Drake, worked with Snoop Dogg, and, just this week, was nominated for Best New Artist at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. But the pint-sized rhymer was able to take some time out of her recent whirlwind of events last night (July 21) for a private show for her fans in New York City.

Held at the intimate, dimly lit venue The Box, in Manhattan's Lower East Side, the show was made available to the first 100 fans to respond to a recent e-mail blast from Kreayshawn. With doors opening at 8 p.m., the femcee hit the stage promptly a few minutes after 9 p.m. and rocked a short, energetic set. With fans near the stage excitedly singing along to many of the words, Kreay ran through her tracks "Rich Whores" and "Bumpin Bumpin," before bringing the evening to a close with "Gucci Gucci." It seemed as though she wished she could have stayed on stage for longer, as the mic had to be taken out of her hands once the track ended.
