Bay Area rapper Koran Streets has made a career out of sharing the darker side of life, the painful realities that one may face when trying to find a way out. His new video is for the song "Comfortable," off his 2016 album, You.Know.I.Got.It, which re-released in 2017 as a deluxe edition.

The Luis Montoya-drirected video starts at the scene of an innocent date, some light fun in the sun. Koran is nearby in a car, shrouded in the shadows and keeping a watchful eye on the meet-up. A glimpse of the girl's cell phone reveals that her and Joran are setting her date up for a robbery. Eventually, Koran and the woman in question mask up and kick the guy's door in. Koran escapes with the money; the girl gets caught and killed by the same guy she was just on a date with.

Koran's lyrics on this are sharp, and this is especially apparent on the hook. "Niggas going broke/They partner snitching and they comfortable/I got bitches taking off the shoes by the swimming pool," he explains. "She say you a fool, 'I don't know what I'm gon' do with you'/Yeah you fuck with me, OK, that's cool, but I don't fuck with you."

Koran Streets has dropped numerous videos within the last year. Last May saw the release of his "Ima Thug" video; the visual for "Slick Rick" came a few months later in August of that year. In 2018, he freed his  "Running From the Police" video, shot on location in New York City. Stay tuned for his forthcoming album Late 20's too.
