Kidd Kidd “Life Up” (Trayvon Martin & Ahillita North Tribute)

Unsurprisingly, the tragic death of Trayvon Martin – and the subsequent acquittal of George Zimmerman – has led to a mass of hip-hop artists expressing their heartbreak in song as tribute to the fallen teenager. Kidd Kidd is the latest rapper to pay heartfelt homage not only to Trayvon but to Ahillita North, a six-year-old girl slain in Louisiana last week, on his new song, “Life Up.” Kidd Kidd pours his soul out here and it is well worth the time to take a listen to this mournful lament.
