The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Born and raised in the East New York area of Brooklyn, Jimi Tents' rap career is already off to a solid start. The rhymer released his debut EP, 5 O’Clock Shadow, in early 2016, and is best known for tracks like his “Should’ve Called” series and “Domino Effect.” Now he aims to land a spot on the XXL Freshman cover.

The 10th spot voting for 2017 XXL Freshman will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to the 10th spot voting page to make your vote count for your favorite artist.
