Hopsin Is Quitting Rap And Moving To Australia
Update (Dec. 25th 1:05 p.m.): So it looks like Hopsin isn't leaving after all. In a new video posted to his Facebook page, the always-animated rapper revealed his 'I'm retiring and moving to Australia' gimmick to be a hoax. The video, which co-stars Jarren Benton, captures the two in a scripted freak-out over the rapper's impending return. At the end, Hopsin teases his upcoming Pound Syndrome, slated for 2015.

In a heart felt message posted to his Instagram, Hopsin announced he would be leaving the rap game to pursue and explore new ventures. Setting out to start a new life in Australia, the Los Angeles native confessed that he always be a MC but he just wasn't happy doing the "rap stuff."
The Funk Volume artist has voiced his frustration with the music industry in the past, including a twitter rant where he professed "Don't become a rapper, you will become a zombie if you do." He also had fans panic into an intense state of worry when he tweeted about thoughts of suicide. Hopsin revealed he has already signed over his portion of the Funk Volume franchise to his partner Dame and wished nothing but the best for his label mates Dizzy Wright, Swizzz, and Jarren Benton.
Hopsin was apart of the 2012 XXL Freshmen class.
