After filing for bankruptcy four months ago, Da Brat is opening up about her money troubles. In a clip of Growing Up Hip-Hop: Atlanta, which was posted last Thursday (Dec. 13), the 44-year-old rapper goes into detail regarding her financial woes following her assault case in 2007.

Expounding upon her financial troubles, Da Brat explains that although she made $8 million throughout her career, she has yet to see it. As her confession unfolds, Da Brat regrets her assault case and admits that she was in the wrong.

"It started out at like $6.4 million, then it got some interest on it and I think it's at like eight-something now," Da Brat says. "I ain't never had $8 million."

"I was wrong, damn. I was wrong. I fucked up. I made a mistake, I regret it, I went to jail," Da Brat said to her sister. "Yeah, okay. A lot of bad things happened, but I also met a lot of great people and learned a lot from it. I'm good with it."

According to an Aug. 22 report from The Blast, Da Brat has assets totaling $108,700.65 but her liabilities come out to $7,782,249.57. The So So Def artist also owes $6.4 million to former cheerleader Shayla Stevens, the woman she hit with a bottle at a nightclub. Stevens suffered permanent facial scarring and neurological impairment. As a result, Da Brat spent three years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated assault.
