If you're not aware of Corey Finesse's rapid-fire bars, now is the time to get familiar. Today (April 4), the rapper delivers a new music video for his single "Shawty Gotta Thang," and it'll surely guarantee his slot on your 2018 summer playlists. XXL has the exclusive premiere.

The Peter Dmitriyev/Official Mikelo-directed visual finds Mr. Finesse falling for his new love interest after running into her at a fitness class, led by female rapper Taylor Hing. Inspired by a woman he once dated, the "Waste My Time" spitter tells a story of a lady from the suburbs who's become so infatuated with the rap star that she becomes engrossed with his impetuous lifestyle in the streets.

"She gotta thang for me (yeah), you ain't the same as me (yeah)/I'm living so dangerously, move with the weapon I paint the tee/Bonnie and Clyde, she down to ride, she know that I'm from the nine (yeah)/She know that I got the nine, ready to bust on a nigga wan' try me," Corey melodically spits over Ty Real's piano-laced production.

"She was a good girl turn bad when she started dealing with me," he tells XXL. "You know pretty girls love trap music."

Corey Finesse has left no stone unturned since his official entrance onto the rap scene in 2016 with "Vagabond." Last year, the Brooklyn lyricist dropped bars for days on Funkmaster Flex's radio show, breaking the 2 million views threshold in less than a few months. Shortly after, Corey dropped Life After 9 mixtape, and it's been a triumphant whirlwind ever since.

In 2018, expect to see Corey Finesse making more moves. "I’m dropping a few more solo singles, collabs, and maybe a sneaky project," he hints.
