Punch, co-president of TDE, recently did an interview with Al Lindstrom where he discussed the influence of Dr. Dre, the signing of SZA, compares ScHoolboy Q's Oxymoron and Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d. city to All Eyez On Me and Life After Death, and talks about Chance the Rapper having discussions to sign with TDE.

Chance himself has said that he has been approached by almost every label, and that he didn't want to sign in a "dead industry."

"I know him and Ab-Soul have a good relationship, but it was just talks," Punch said in the video (above). He also said that JMSN was supposed to collaborate with Ab, but that it didn't pan out. "Everything has to make sense before we actually move forward with things."

On Dre's influence at Aftermath, Punch was happy with his input. "[Dre] gives us the opportunity to do what we want to do creatively, so you can't ask for much more," he said. "Just knowing that we have him on call and at our disposal is already good enough for us. Everything we need, Dre makes sure we got it...They got our backs, for sure."
