Chance The Rapper will perform at the Chicago Theatre as part of Power 92's 15th anniversary concert, which is scheduled to take place on April 8.

The 15th anniversary event will be hosted by Da Brat and feature an impressive lineup of local talent before Chance The Rapper even hits the stage. Lil Bibby, Katie Got Bandz and BJ The Chicago Kid are among the artists slated to perform at the show.

Special guests are also being advertised, so those in attendance should expect some surprises on April 8. Tickets can be purchased through Chance The Rapper's official site ChanceRaps.com.

The show is being billed as celebration of independent radio, which one would expect Chance The Rapper to support. The Chicago MC has achieved an amazing level of success while remaining independent. Since releasing his breakthrough project Acid Rap in 2013, Chance as become one of hip-hop's most prominent artists without a major label record deal.

What's equally impressive is Chance The Rapper's ability to maintain his reign at the top despite not releasing another solo record since Acid Rap. He did play a major role in the collaborative effort Surf, which was released by Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment last year. The album earned much of its attention from Chance The Rapper's involvement in the project.

As for Chance The Rapper's next release, not much is known. He released a track called "Somewhere in Paradise" back in December and an unreleased track titled "Blessings (Save Money Prayer)" arrived last week. Other than that, Chance's most prominent record has been his show stealing performance on the Kanye West track "Ultralight Beam."
