Big Boi Shares New Tour Dates and Video for “In the South”
After dropping his third studio album, Boomiverse, in June, Big Boi has announced new dates for his Daddy Fat Saxxx Tour.
The second leg of the tour, which is called Sack 2, will kick off on Jan. 5, 2018 in Calgary, Canada at the Palace Theater. From there, the Atlanta rapper will make a stop in Edmonton, Canada before heading back to the states for shows in Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Tickets for the new dates go on sale Nov. 3.
But that's not all for Big Boi fans. On Tuesday (Oct. 31), the rapper dropped off a new video for the song "In the South." The animated video, which was created by Cartoon Buck Productions, features appearances from Gucci Mane and the late Pimp C.
Big Boi recently received praise from group mate Andre 3000 during an interview with GQ when he called the "Kill Jill" artist the better rapper.
"He always had the confidence, where I was kind of like the shy one," said 3000. "Big Boi can rap better than me—I always said that. If somebody said, “Pick who you want from OutKast to go to battle with you,” it wouldn’t be me. ’Cause like, what I’ma do? Say some mind shit? You can’t have thoughts in a battle—nobody gives a shit about that."
