The immensely popular DJ app and one of Apple's gold childs finally made it's way to Android. Agoriddim has been exclusively catering for the iOS and Mac for years, winning awards and being showcased by the late great Steve Jobs himself.  The slick DJ-ing apps lets you mix your own tunes for your choosing plus—after the update—lets you access your Spotify library. A DJ's dream has come true.

Algoriddim finally brings its popular Djay app to Android, create mixes from Spotify or your own music. DJs worldwide can celebrate now that they can spin their favorite records directly from your Samsung Galaxy, Nexus, HTC, Motorola and Kindle Fire. Djay 2 is now available to download from Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.

"There was a whole new market that we didn’t even tap yet," explains CEO and co-founder Karim Morsy to XXL over the phone. "We knew when we were working on the prototype for android we solved the last minute puzzle piece, which was content. Now we have Spotify on board for the launch. User can instantly get creative with the immense song catalog that Spotify offers. "

Morsy is a hip-hop DJ himself, mainly DJ'ing on the east coast in the early to late 90s while going to college. He would spend five hours a day practicing his scratching and techniques, using the money he got from DJ'in' to pay for most of his college costs. When he got a degree in Computer Science, Morsy next venture was to try and make DJ'in simpler and for his personal enjoyment. That interest eventually lead him to finding Algoriddim in 2006. Consumer may think that the app arrival for Android will be limited, that is not so.

Adds Morsy, "In terms of the technology this is pretty much one of the most advance apps ever. The depths of quality and music experience that arrives on the Android platform. That by itself is a big deal. Now we can target any consumer out there or any DJ who has a smart phone. "
