It's been nearly a year since CyHi The Prynce dropped his last release, the criminally slept-on mixtape Black Hystori Project a proper blend of social commentary mixed with street politics. With Black History Month in full swing, the Stone Mountain, GA rapper releases the follow up in the series, BHP 2: N.A.A.C.P.

The G.O.O.D. Music MC has been sprinkling breadcrumbs leading up to the release, leaking a few songs from the project including the Jodeci sampled "Forever" and "To Be Real" which uses parts of the the Cheryl Lynn's hit "Got To Be Real." On the mixtape as a whole, CyHi stays centered on his theme of progression always balancing street material with alternative logic. There are no features on the project, just CyHi flexing his lyrical muscle over 11 well-crafted sample-infused tracks. As far as production, he chose to go by committee with most of the tracks being produced by multiple beat makers including Tec Beatz, Jayo, Brandon Black, Fre23sh Preauxdeuce, The Freshman, Narcotics and Mannie Fresh.

Now, the only question is, when is the former XXL Freshman going to drop his debut LP? After touring over the summer, he has been working on this project and contributing to Kanye West's upcoming album. Hopefully we will get a full-length studio album from the Southern wordsmith sooner than later.
