CyHi The Prynce is trying to speak plainly. "I don't hang with niggas, I don't trust a broad/ ...And I don't like police," he raps, adding "My wife gotta be an only child/ 'Cause I don't even wanna have a brother-in-law." "To Be Real" is a no-frills mission statement. Reminding himself to avoid talking about stunts or "the dope house," CyHi floats over glitchy post-soul-sample production, stringing together his trademark punchlines (he treats haters like trampolines, rappers are like Sigfried and Roy--you get the picture).

Additionally, CyHi took to his Instagram account to announce the cover art and release date for his upcoming mixtape. The second installment of his Black Hystori Project series will bear the subtitle NAACP: New Artists Aligning Cultural People. The tape is slated to drop this Friday (Feb. 13).
