CyHi The Prynce “Forever”

CyHi The Prynce is definitely about quality over quantity. The seemingly scarcely heard from Stone Mountain, Ga, MC returns today with his latest single "Forever" from his highly anticipated forthcoming mixtape project, Black Hystori Project 2. The Tec Beatz, Brandon Black and Jeff Leahr produced track contains cleverly conceived samples from Jodeci's "Forever My Lady" and Keith Sweat's "Make It Last Forever." As usual, CyHi makes light work of the track spitting his usual array of entertaining metaphors and slick punch lines over the subdued composition.

CyHi dropped his mixtape Black Hystori Project last February to coincide with Black History Month. The socially conscious project, sprinkled with dope boy innuendo, was one of the better releases to hit the mixtape market in 2014. Since then, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper has been mostly quiet dropping a few tracks here and there to make sure he gets the credit he deserves. Hopefully, we'll hear more from CTP in 2015. Black Hystori Project 2 is coming soon.
