Warren G and jazz legend Kenny G will close out Jimmy Kimmel Live's "Mash-Up Mondays" segment with a performance of the classic rap track "Regulate," Monday (Feb. 23). The song, which originally appeared on the Above The Rim soundtrack in 1994 and featured legendary rap crooner Nate Dogg is widely considered one of the best tracks of the early 90s. The laid back beat crafted by G samples Michael McDonald's "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)" and relays the harrowing gangsta tale of Nate saving Warren from would-be robbers while in the pursuit of some ladies for the night.

Ironically, Kenny G is a fan of the orginal. "It was a record that I always loved, from being a kid and my parents playing it when they had their company of friends over," he told Rolling Stone. This will be the fourth and final installment of the entertaining bit. The segment, which matches up artist of different eras, has previously included Aloe Blacc & Blackstreet, Haim & Morris Day, and Weezer & ZZ Top.

Next month, Warren will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the track with a week-long tour of the west coast and Canada. XXL spoke with Warren late last year about the highly influential track and his relationship with the late great Nate Dogg. "We were like Batman and Robin," he said. "It's like, [Nate] understands my perception, and I understand the way he writes and sings. So when the combination comes together, it's perfect, and it always makes sense and it's always a banger, a hit record."

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs 11:35 pm ET on ABC.
