1999: One of the zaniest, most charismatic characters in all of hip-hop, Wu-Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard, dropped his second and final solo album, Nigga Please, on Sept. 14, 1999.

Always one to bank on shock value, ODB channeled a ghetto Rick James impersonator on the cover artwork of his album and it's reported that before the album release, other names that were in the running for the project included God Made Dirt and Dirt Don't Hurt and The Black Man Is God, White Man Is the Devil. The album spawned the singles "Got Your Money" featuring Kelis and the Rick James cover "Cold Blooded." With experimental production from The Neptunes, Irv Gotti and The Wu's RZA, samples from hip-hop vets like Slick Rick and Dirt McGirt's neurotic, jerky lyricism, Nigga Please debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 upon it's release. The album became certified gold by the RIAA within the same year.

Nigga Please was the last solo album released in ODB's lifetime as the Brooklyn MC died in November 2004 of a drug overdose.
