Kid Ink fans recently got an additional gift as the Cali rapper released his new album Summer In The Winter ahead of schedule. Originally slated to have an Feb. 2016 release, Ink speeds up the process and gets the record out in time for the holiday season.

This is the former XXL Freshman's second album release this year alone. In January, he put out his third major label LP Full Speed which featured the hit singles "Body Language" featuring Usher and Tinashe, and "Hotel" featuring Chris Brown.

This time around, the tatted MC tapped West Coast hit maker and frequent collaborator DJ Mustard as executive producer on the 11-song collection. The project features appearances from Fetty Wap, Akon, Starrah, Bia and Omarion. The album cover for the LP shows a black silhouette of the Bat Gang leader which is encircled by the titles of the songs off the album in a funky black-and-white script.

Ink has quietly been a very consistent hit maker, charting memorable singles off his previous three major label projects including "Show Me," "Iz U Down" and Main Chick" from My Own Lane. Unlike previous releases, this album has had very little promotion with minimal radio play compared to his past efforts. Either way, it looks like Kid Ink is ready to bring heat to the cold months.
