The Fourth of July stands for independence for some, but for others it symbolizes the sacrifices that unfortunately must be made to maintain that freedom. For his latest visual, for the track "Fourth Of July," award-winning Chicago rapper and aspiring politician, Rhymefest, focuses on the latter. In the clip, which brings the Chicago MC's words to life, a young man goes through the process of joining the military and fighting in combat, and endures the tragic circumstances that can come along with it.

Fest is currently working on an upcoming book and album titled, Violence Is Sexy, his first LP since 2010. According the rapper, the project will "analyze the pathology of violence in America and its implications around the world."
