About The Artists:

Marley Marl
Marley Marl is considered one of the most important and influential hip-hop producers in the history of hip-hop. Marley is the first producers to sample and use the Funky Drummer groove on a record. Find out what inspired him to reach for the funk from the Godfather of Soul. Born in New York City, this hip-hop legend is known for his work with the Juice Crew including Big Daddy Kane, Eric B. & Rakim, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté, Kool G Rap, MC Shan and Masta Ace, and he produced songs for artists including King Tee and LL Cool J.

Labtekwon
Labtekwon has performed with artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Brand Nubian, KRS-One, and Digital Underground. He has 23 releases, including 18 full lengths on his own Ankh Ba Records. Noting Labtek's varied discography, Urb called him "the most eclectic MC to ever emerge from Baltimore." His 1998 full length Nile Child is widely hailed as an underground classic. He was named in the 1999 Urb Next 100.
